Q. How is the hair attached?
I attach small pieces of human hair to your own natural hair with a keratin bond that is about the size of a grain of rice. This method is damage free to your own hair.
Q. Can you wash your hair?
Yes, since we use very high quality of human hair, you can wash it, brush it, blow dry and style it just like your own hair!
Q. How do you get them out?
I can easily remove the extensions with a special solution. Removal is FREE to all Mermaid clients.
Q. How long do they last?
3-4 months is the average.
Q. How much does it cost?
It depends on which service you select. the package prices start at $78 and go up to $1180. My most popular service is the "Classic Mermaid" which is $880.
Q. Can you color your hair?
Yes! Color services done professionally will not harm the extensions at all. You can continue to color your hair with the extensions in.
Q. How long does it take?
"Classic Mermaid" takes 3 hours. My "Volumizing" service takes 2-3 hours, "Mini Mermaid" 2 hours, and highlights about an hour. It is much faster to have extensions done at Mermaid, then at a conventional salon, because we work as a team, cutting the time in the chair in half.
Q. What type of hair do you use?
I use 100% human hair, the very best quality available. The hair originates in India, then is colored/processed in Italy before it is shipped to us.
Q. Will extensions damage my hair ?
While others use techniques such as weaving, waxing, gluing or knotting, which strain and very often damage your hair to a high degree, we use an extremely high tech method of bonding between the extension and your own hair. The result is absolutely no damage to your natural hair.
Q. Will the extensions match my hair's natural color and texture?
The hair comes in over 81 different colors and 3 different textures and designs, so you will get a perfect match to your natural hair.
